Sexual Violence Information

"Sexual violence" refers to many different kinds of offenses.

Sexual violence refers to a variety of actions, such as sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape. Strangers, acquaintances, friends, family members, or romantic partners may have committed these offenses. Experts, professionals, and legislators agree that all forms of sexual assault have a significant impact on individuals, families, and society as a whole. There is a global understanding that extensive efforts are still needed to increase the interaction of the criminal justice system in order to address these offenses.

Sex crimes are extremely destructive to our community because they destroy trust, instill fear, and weaken safety. Victims suffer significant trauma, which impacts their well-being, whilst society struggles with a diminished sense of security and cohesion. Combating these crimes as a group is critical for creating a safer and healthier neighborhood.
