In the summer of 2015, we launched the Butterfly Project at Inspired Spero, a thrift store dedicated to supporting Spero Inspired. Despite the financial challenges that led to the closure of Inspired Thrift Store during the COVID-19 pandemic, our butterfly creations endured!
Under 7,000 more butterflies to create!
With over 3,000 butterflies folded so far, our ultimate goal is to reach 10,000.
We are incredibly grateful for our committed volunteers who have invested their time and effort in mastering the art of butterfly folding alongside us. Each butterfly bears the names of those who donated their time or money to fund Spero's nonprofit status and outreach program.
Additionally, we have designed special black butterflies to honor the memory of individuals lost to violent sex crimes or suicide resulting from an attack.
